Just under a month ago I was going through a very challenging situation at work. It was certainly my hardest couple of weeks working in the airlines to date.
God did some amazing things throughout this time and I'd like to share just one of those with you. I hope it encourages you because it blew me away.
"Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life." (Philippians 2:14-16a)
My job in the airline I work for means I get to meet new people almost every time I come to work. The vast majority are warm, friendly and easy to get along with. Very occasionally people make things more difficult than they need to be.
Your ability to do your work competently is based on your aptitude and skills. But the way in which you perform your skills has to do with your attitude. Attitude is how you carry out your job. Your skills may not affect your attitude, but your attitude will definitely affect the way you perform your skills at work.
Still to this day, the world’s deadliest aviation disaster happened on the Island of Tenerife in March of 1977. Two 747’s collided on the runway as one was attempting to take off with minimal visibility. It seems that most of the evidence collected by the NTSB and FAA, from the black boxes, and the crash scene point to a stunning fact. The captain of the 747 proceeding to take off had not been cleared.
